Team members HA8RT, DJ4MX and DK6SP met at the QTH of supporter DG8MG in the Bavarian countryside with many dedicated helpers. Together they conducted the second testing and preparation days for the 8R – Guyana 2024 project from 29. – 30.09.2023.

This second gathering was mainly used to do inventory work, document the setup of antennas and do another test run with the respective antennas. At warm fall temperatures and bright sunshine the following tasks were ambitiously accomplished.

Test of various highband antennas, e.g., 6-band Hexbeam and 3-band Spiderbeam
First high-power testing of the main lowband 80/160m antenna mounted on a 22m Spiderpole
Finalizing other lowband antennas for 30m, 40m and 80m bands
Documentation and inventory of gathered equipment
And many more things
